JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated technician to join our team at our General Repair Shop. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles brought to our shop. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including engine problems, transmission malfunctions, and brake failures
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems
  • Complete repairs efficiently and effectively, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Keep a clean and organized work area, adhering to shop safety standards and protocols at all times
  • Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and provide accurate cost estimates
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through continuous training and professional development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive repair is a plus
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or relevant role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Solid understanding of repair and maintenance techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

COMPENSATION:

  • Range: $50,000 to $90,000 Annually

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and ongoing training opportunities, no weekends. 40 hour work week.
