Checked the transmission fluid level and condition at the proper operating temperature and found the transmission is overfilled. The fluid level will need to be corrected to specification. Tested the Shift Solenoid D electrical circuit and found the circuit is operating correctly at this time. Based on the intermittent shifting concern and the circuit currently testing good, suspect the Shift Solenoid D inside the valve body is intermittently sticking, preventing the transmission from shifting properly. Recommendation: Recommend correcting the transmission fluid level and replacing the transmission valve body/solenoid assembly due to the suspected intermittent Shift Solenoid D failure. After repairs, clear the codes and road test while monitoring transmission operation to verify proper shifting and confirm P0768 does not return.
